Official Rules of Play for Draws (2) September 6, 2021 and December 30, 2021

  1. Purchaser must be 18 years or older to play and in Ontario at the time of purchase.
  2. Tickets can be purchased online at the website tbaybgc5050.com. The September draw will take place on September 6, 2021 at 3:00 pm. The December draw will take place on December 30, 2021 at 3:00 pm. The draw will have a guaranteed prize of $5,000. When ticket sales exceed $10,000, the winning prize will be half of gross sales.
  3. Only 40,000 tickets will be sold.
  4. Tickets can be purchased for $10 for 1 number, $20 for 3 numbers, and $50 for 15 numbers.
  5. Only one name may be recorded on a ticket.
  6. After purchase, a ‘Thank You’ page will be displayed after the transaction is approved with the transaction receipt and ticket(s); purchasers will have the option to print this page for their records. A transaction receipt will also automatically be emailed to the purchaser. When requested, transaction receipts will be re-issued and tickets mailed within 3 business days.
  7. Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order.
  8. The Grand Prize Draw ticket sales deadline for the September draw is Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 11:59 pm. The Grand Prize Draw ticket sales deadline for the December draw is Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 11:59 pm.
  9. The September Grand Prize Draw will take place at approximately 3:00 pm on September 6, 2021 at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay (Windsor location), Thunder Bay, ON. The December Grand Prize Draw will take place at approximately 3:00 pm on December 30, 2021 at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay (Windsor location), Thunder Bay, ON.
  10. By purchasing a ticket you agree to allow the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay the right, if you are a prize winner, to use and publicly disclose your name, municipality of residence, image, photograph and/or likeness as a prize winner in any means required by the terms of our lottery license and/or that we consider appropriate for the purposes of administering and promoting the lottery, without review or approval by you, or notice or additional compensation to you.
  11. The winning ticket will be selected from a drum containing all tickets sold for the draw.
  12. Boys & Girls Clubs of Thunder Bay Staff and Board of Directors, as well as family members living in the same household are not permitted to purchase tickets and are not eligible to win.
  13. One cash prize will be awarded for the draw; the winning ticket will be posted on the tbaybgc5050.com website. If information about the winner is collected at the point of sale, the winner will be contacted directly.
  14. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.
  15. The winner must provide his/her name, address and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet and send it to tbbgc@tbaytel.net.
  16. Once the certified grand prize winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, and returns the supplied affidavit executed, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize, which is, at minimum $5000, up to 50% of the gross sales for that game. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
  17. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning stub will be kept in a safe and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated to a local charity with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

Where does the money raised from the 50/50 go?

All proceeds from the draw will benefit children and youth in the Thunder Bay community. The Boys and Girls Club encourages and empowers its members to develop healthy lifestyles, a life-long passion for learning, leadership, life skills and a sense of social responsibility. This year, all funds raised will go towards our “Raise the Roof” campaign to replace the existing roof at the Club – our current roof leaks.

Who is eligible to purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased by residents of Ontario who are 18 years of age or older. BGC Thunder Bay Staff and Board of Directors, as well as family members living in the same household are not permitted to purchase tickets and are not eligible to win.

How many tickets are being sold?

Only 40,000 tickets are available to be purchased.

Where can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased from tbaybgc5050.com. Tickets cannot be purchased in person or over the phone.

Can I put more than one name on a ticket?

Only one name can go on each ticket.

What payment methods are accepted?

Tickets can be purchased online using Visa or Mastercard. Regrettably, we are unable to accept other methods of payment including American Express, debit, e-transfer, cheque, money order or cash.

I purchased tickets online. How do I get my ticket numbers?

Tickets are presented on a ‘Thank You’ page upon successful completion of a transaction.  If you require an additional copy of your tickets, please contact info@tbayboysandgirlsclub.org

Do I need my ticket to claim my prize?

No. In order to claim your prize, you must present valid photo identification.  All prizes must be claimed within 6 months. All unclaimed prizes will be subject to the AGCO unclaimed prize policy and procedure.

Will I be notified if I win?

The winner will be posted on the tbaybgc5050.com website. BGC Thunder Bay will attempt to contact the winner based on the information collected at the point of sale.

When is the next raffle?

The next 50/50 raffle is December 30, 2021. Tickets for this draw will be available for purchase September 7, 2021.
