Where does the money raised from the 50/50 go?
All proceeds from the draw will benefit children and youth in the Thunder Bay community. The Boys and Girls Club encourages and empowers its members to develop healthy lifestyles, a life-long passion for learning, leadership, life skills and a sense of social responsibility. This year, all funds raised will go towards our “Raise the Roof” campaign to replace the existing roof at the Club – our current roof leaks.
Who is eligible to purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased by residents of Ontario who are 18 years of age or older. BGC Thunder Bay Staff and Board of Directors, as well as family members living in the same household are not permitted to purchase tickets and are not eligible to win.
How many tickets are being sold?
Only 40,000 tickets are available to be purchased.
Where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased from tbaybgc5050.com. Tickets cannot be purchased in person or over the phone.
Can I put more than one name on a ticket?
Only one name can go on each ticket.
What payment methods are accepted?
Tickets can be purchased online using Visa or Mastercard. Regrettably, we are unable to accept other methods of payment including American Express, debit, e-transfer, cheque, money order or cash.
I purchased tickets online. How do I get my ticket numbers?
Tickets are presented on a ‘Thank You’ page upon successful completion of a transaction. If you require an additional copy of your tickets, please contact info@tbayboysandgirlsclub.org
What is the grand prize?
The draw will have a guaranteed prize of $5,000. When ticket sales exceed $10,000, the winning prize will be half of gross sales.
When is the grand prize draw?
The September grand prize draw will take place at approximately 3:00 pm on September 6, 2021 at BGC Thunder Bay (Windsor location). The December grand prize draw will take place at approximately 3:00 pm on December 30, 2021 at BGC Thunder Bay (Windsor location).
When do ticket sales end?
The ticket sales deadline for the September draw is Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 11:59 pm. The ticket sales deadline for the December draw is Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 11:59 pm.
Do I need my ticket to claim my prize?
No. In order to claim your prize, you must present valid photo identification. All prizes must be claimed within 6 months. All unclaimed prizes will be subject to the AGCO unclaimed prize policy and procedure.
Will I be notified if I win?
The winner will be posted on the tbaybgc5050.com website. BGC Thunder Bay will attempt to contact the winner based on the information collected at the point of sale.
When is the next raffle?
The next 50/50 raffle is December 30, 2021. Tickets for this draw will be available for purchase September 7, 2021.

This year, we’ll use the money raised to purchase a new roof for our building (the current one leaks). Any additional funds will be put towards programming.
